St Luke’s Annual Report
St Luke’s continues to provide a weekly early morning service with friendships and care to our regular congregation and a welcoming place for other members of the parish who occasionally like an early start to the day, also to visitors to the City especially those staying at Lillier Lodge. Quite a few of our regulars are no longer able to get to the services but we keep in touch with visits and phone calls.
We thank all the Clergy for their ministry to us during the year and express our sincere appreciation to all members of the congregation who help with the services and keep the church in good order.
We especially thank James Hamilton who is always cheerfully available when help is needed with maintenance.
We were all saddened in November by the loss of Dudley St George, one of our long standing members of our congregation. Dudley’s contribution to the life of St Luke’s was immense and we greatly miss his fellowship, his quirky sense of humour and his contribution to every aspect of life at St Luke’s.
Two other services were held during the year – a wedding – Dudley and Rae’s daughter, and Dudley’s funeral.

Two very happy occasions were Glad Freeman’s and Gwen Graham’s 90th birthdays and some of us were privileged to join their family celebrations.
On behalf of the Vestry I repeat my thanks to all who have contributed to the life of the church and I thank all members of the vestry for their work and support for me as President.
Yours in Christ
Ida Buckley
Hon. President.
